John 17: 20-23 tells us what Jesus said, his last message, before he was taken by his captors in the garden of Gethsemane to be taken to the cross - to where He would die for us. 

 

"20 My prayer is not for them alone. I pray for those who will believe in me through their message,

21 that all of them may be one, Father, just as you are in me, and I am in you. May they also be in us so that the world may believe that you have sent me.

22 I have given them the glory that you gave me, that they may be one as we are one:

23 I in them and you in me. May they be brought to complete unity to let the world know that you sent me and have loved them even as you have loved me." 

 

LET US BREAK IT DOWN in order to study and understand what Jesus said: 

Verse 20: 'who will believe in me through their message.' YOU have a message; Jesus says so right here.

Verse 21: 'so that the world may believe that you have sent me.' YOU are what God is relying on to show the world who Jesus is, and he was sent to bring us truth, light, and love.

Verse 22: 'so that they may be one as we are one.' We are to be ONE with the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit - so that in this the power of God, Almighty and like no other, can operate through us. 

Verse 23: 'be brought to complete unity to let the world know that you sent me and have loved them.' All that Jesus came here to do, to unify us and make us whole, as we can only be through Christ Jesus in us. 

 

 

 

 

You are Jesus' messenger, and it is confirmed in His Word what you are being shown to do is true - ALL for the glory of God and for truth to be known to people who NEED TO KNOW THIS TRUTH.

Are you not chosen to do this for Jesus? The answer is an absolute YES...or you would not be here right now getting fed this message. God is building his army for his Kingdom on the earth, and you are part of that!

WHAT MESSAGE HAS JESUS GIVEN YOU TO TAKE FORTH IN YOUR LIFE? His word will bring it to fruition, but each believer in the Body of Christ has their SPECIFIC part - no one's is like another's. Only you can do what God has ordained you to do for THE KINGDOM!
